Why Do You Need Gutters?

Long ago when gutters were first created during Roman times, they were almost purely functional and not decorative. However, over the centuries gutters have evolved into one of the showpieces of a modern home while still providing crucial functionality. The Romans used ‘gutters’ to bring water to them while today we use gutters take water away from our home.

Now that we have an idea of the history of gutters, lets discuss why you need them. Every home or business that does not have seamless gutters will almost surely have foundation erosion occur at some point as well as mildew on all sides of the home/building. This can result in very costly repairs. Gutters also provide termite protection as they remove the moisture where termites thrive.
